What do you carry your books in?

Walking about campus all day with books to carry can be a hassle.  Some people carry totes.  Some people carry book bags. Some people carry backpacks.  What do you use?

7 Quick Hairstyles.

I am always trying to find different ways to fix my hair for whenever I am in a rush.  Sometimes I tend to stumble on different websites that give tips about hair styles, or things to do with your hair if you do not want to wash it — or “have second day hair.”  I am going to post the link to the website at the bottom of the page so that you can check it out yourself, but I am also going to paste the tips on here if you do not feel like going to the site.

Get Rid of Greasy Hair

1. Get Rid of Grease

Beat oily “second day” hair with this easy trick: grab some baby powder if you’re light-haired or matte bronzer if you’re a brunette and apply it to your roots with a big fluffy makeup brush. This absorbs grease and makes your hair look fresh. Then just fix any stray strands with a flat iron; shake out your hair and go.

Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) in a Red Headband

2. Slip on a Headband

For an elegant style that’s so Blair on Gossip Girl, smooth out your hair with a brush, then pull on a wide headband to cover up messier strands and look instantly polished. Try ashiny patent leather headband in an outfit-coordinating shade for a super-trendy look that’s very right-now.

Messy Bun Hairstyle

3. Do a Messy Bun

This is the basic go-to staple for most college girls because it takes two seconds. Gather your hair on top of your head and wrap an elastic band around 2-3 times. Next, shape the bun with a few bobby pins that match your hair color, pull out a few ends to make it messier, and finish with a spray of hairspray.

Asian Inspired Chopstick Hair Bun

4. Try Chopstick Hair

This style only looks difficult.. it’s actually insanely easy to do. If you don’t know how to make a chopstick updo, check out this Youtube tutorial, or for another way to do it, this tutorial. You don’t need actual chopsticks for this look – special hair sticks or even a pencil will work in a pinch.

Serena Van Der Woodsen Chic Ponytail

5. Make a Chic Ponytail

If your hair is curly, use a little anti-frizz cream first. If you have straight locks, scrunch in curl cream to bring out some waves. Tease hair at the crown then pull into a low ponytail. Leave a ½ inch strand out and secure the ponytail with a clear elastic. Wrap the extra strand around the elastic and secure with a bobby pin.

Lauren Conrad (LC) With The Front Hair Poof Hairstyle

6. Do a Front Hair Poof

This popular hairstyle is a great way to hide bangs you might be growing out, and is also very simple to do. Just separate the section of hair from temple to temple, tease it with a fine-toothed comb and secure with two bobby pins in an X. If your hair won’t stay in the bobby pins, tease the section more or use four pins.

Matthew Williamson Inspired Sideways French Braid

7. French Braid Sideways

Inspired by Matthew Williamson, this style is best if you’re good at French braiding, but with practice anyone can do it. Part your hair to the side then French braid across your hairline, securing with a clear elastic. This look is boho chic so leave the rest of your hair messy. If you have natural waves, even better.

vicky secrets: college girl essential.

Victoria’s Secret is the most trending, popular, casual college girl essential.  If you walk around a college campus, you are bound to see at least 10 girls wearing an article of clothing from Victoria’s Secrets PINK collection.  It is very comfortable, and still looks really nice! Especially whenever so many girls on campus work out between class or after, they have nice yoga pants and other bottoms.

Here are a few of my favorite items that are in the collection right now. Take a look and you decide what you think. You can mix these styles into your own. The price ranges around $50, depending on the style and the detail. The price is worth it though because you can wash it 20 times, and the material still holds up. The clothing has a good quality.
